Following the untimely death of Lady Bella Rigor-Mortis her husband, Algor Mortis the Master of Mortis Mansion, spent hours anguishing over her demise. He was so distraught that he refused to bury her and kept her lifeless body enshrined in his music room in her coffin. He spent hours playing to her on his massive pipe organ thinking that somehow through his music, the music they had shared together, he could bring her back to him. His obsession was so deep that it eventually spread to the other members of the family like a plague and they also began searching for a way to bring Lady Bella back to them from beyond the grave. Their strange activities led neighbors and passers by to shudder and stay away from the grim house and it’s occupants.
Then one night, long after midnight, someone succeeded. A dark shadow streched across the organ room floor where Algor slept with his head down on the keyboard. Icy fingers touched the back of his neck, jolting him awake. There she stood, alive! Or was she? As he gazed at her in disbelief his eyes came to rest on her pale white face and the sharp pointed fangs that gleamed in the flickering light of the candles. He stared, transfixed, totally mesmerized by her beauty as she came nearer . . .
Now, Master Algor is throwing a party in honor of Lady Bella’s return. It is to be a grand Masquerade Ball and the Mansion is groaning with family, guests and servants all preparing for the great event as it is to be a celebration like none other. You are invited of coarse, if you dare to go. For some would say that to enter Mortis Mansion, even for a party, is not without risk.
